The exhibition is built upon the \"From Roots to Branches\" metaphor, inspired by the artist’s own statements in which he compares himself to a tree. Within the scope of the project, a chronological flow was curated utilizing the large and flexible gallery spaces of CerModern, while the concepts of space, negative space, and material integrity found in the artist’s works were translated into the visual identity.</p><p>Custom motifs derived from the artist's use of materials and forms were established as the primary visual language connecting all project outputs. Staying true to the artist's production methods, beige and earthy tones served as the foundation, with orange selected as an accent color to create contrast. Additionally, the tree metaphor integrated green into the palette.</p><p>Throughout every stage of the design process, we maintained a work discipline where we supported one another through various challenges and collectively analyzed feedback from our instructors to pivot with new decisions whenever necessary. This collective support mechanism was our primary motivation, ensuring that all components of the exhibition system merged in perfect visual and conceptual harmony.</p>",

During the development stage, the hierarchy created by the overlapping and scaling of geometric structures adds dynamism to a static surface.</p><p>Regarding the process, the most critical turning point was the technical refinement of shadow and perspective elements. The initial form trials evolved from mere shapes into spatial volumes thanks to the controlled light-and-shadow interplay applied at this stage. Precise adjustments to the direction and intensity of shadows strengthened the contact between objects and the ground, as well as with each other. Meanwhile, revisions in the perspective composition guided the viewer's gaze, bringing the illusion of depth on the surface to a more convincing level. These improvements provided the final stage of the project with both professional technical competence and a more dynamically layered visual quality.</p>",

While squares function as balancing elements that provide stability within the composition, equilateral triangles animate the design by generating dynamic energy and facilitating eye tracking. The mathematical alignment of elements, strategic overlapping, and the deliberate creation of new geometric forms—such as triangles and rectangles—within negative spaces reinforce the consistency and harmony of the visual language. The choice of a portrait orientation supports a sense of gravity and downward visual flow, successfully transforming the contrast between stability and dynamism into a controlled, aesthetic rhythm. Finally, the design was refined and enhanced by rectifying the inconsistencies in negative space and balance identified during the initial process stages.</p>",

The primary focus of the project is to conduct framing analysis, dramatic light management, and professional art direction under limited resources.\n\nArtemisia Gentileschi's 1620 work, \"Jael and Sisera,\" was selected as the primary reference due to its deep shadows, dramatic lighting angles, and powerful composition. Unwanted background details were isolated using black cardboard, and the pillars were modified to harmonize with the painting. Costumes and accessories were modernized using available resources. A key detail in the painting, the sword, was handcrafted using a \"cardboard and scissors\" technique, demonstrating creative problem-solving skills.\n\nTo capture the Chiaroscuro effect of the original work, the main light source was positioned next to the fixed camera, while a second light source hitting the model from a high angle provided depth and sharpness. In the final stage, the characteristic color palette of the classical era was achieved through digital color grading.\n\nThis project was made by Sıla Halezeroğlu, Elifsu Aydoğan, Enes Kaynar, İhsan Oğuz Sunel, Mustafa Mutlu Soylu.\n\nSpecial Thanks To Simge Engürü.",

This project is an investigation into how the city's spatial identity is shaped by the constant tension between its historical roots and its modern development.\n\nUlus represents the organic and layered core of the city. The photographs capture narrow streets and the complex, traditional center, where every corner reflects a history accumulation.\n\nIn contrast, Bilkent showcases a landscape defined by planning, geometry, and a minimalist aesthetic. Here, the lens captures the sharp lines and vast, organized spaces that characterize the contemporary face of the city. The visual language emphasizes rhythm and symmetry, reflecting a structured environment that stands in opposition to the more spontaneous nature of the old city.\n\nAs a Visual Communication Designer, I view this contrast as a vital part of Ankara's urban rhythm. This series documents the dialogue between these two opposing spatial languages, highlighting how the coexistence of the traditional and the modern creates the unique architectural character of the landscape.",

In visual communication design, space is not merely an absence; it is one of the most fundamental building blocks that sustains the composition, allows it to breathe, and imbues it with meaning.\n\nIn this work, I aimed to visualize the silence within fullness and the serene balance created by emptiness. By isolating the subject in my photographs, I invite the viewer to feel the internal rhythm of the 'nothingness' within the frame. These empty areas make the central subject more prominent and striking, while simultaneously providing a free space for the mind to interpret the scene.\n\nThis series is the result of my exploration of that thin line where presence can only be defined through absence.",
